Free IELTS Listening Practice Test (40 Questions + Audio)

If you’re preparing for the IELTS exam, this free IELTS Listening practice test will help you build real exam confidence.

The test includes 4 sections and 40 questions, similar to the official IELTS Listening paper. You can play the audio for each section directly on this page, answer the questions, and then see your score and an approximate IELTS listening band.

Question types in this IELTS listening practice test include:

  • Form completion
  • Multiple choice
  • Map labelling
  • Sentence completion
  • Table / notes completion

This is a shorter version than the real 30-minute IELTS Listening test, but it follows the same format. Use it to practise your listening skills, learn new exam vocabulary, and train your ear for common IELTS accents.

This practice test follows the IELTS Listening format with 4 sections and 40 questions. The audio is shorter than the real exam but uses similar question types (form completion, map labelling, multiple choice, notes and table completion).
